200th Post!!

I'm dedicating my 200th post to my sweet mom. Tomorrow we are going to New York City together for a long weekend. I could not be more excited to go on this trip with her.

My mom is my best friend. I can tell her anything and call her anytime. She recently graduated from college with a nursing degree and has found her place in the field. I'm so proud of her and couldn't ask for a more inspiring, caring, loving, and hilarious mother!

Massachusetts Adventures

This year for Thanksgiving break, I spent my time with my best friend, Hillary and her family! I'll never forget this first trip to Massachusetts and all the memories made. Below are some of the highlights from our road trip.

After driving from 5pm Tuesday until 5am Wednesday and sleeping for a few hours, we went out to Bar Louie! Lots of their friends from high school were all back and at the bar for some drinks before Thanksgiving day.

Since Hillary's mom and sister were working at the hospital on Thanksgiving, we decided to get outside and go hiking at Blue Hills Reservation. It was in the mid 50s and a beautiful day. To make light of it being Thanksgiving, we got turkey sandwiches at Subway that we took into the movie theaters after our hike. I'm guilty of seeing Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2... Twice!! It's a great ending to the saga.

Thanksgiving dinner on Friday was celebrated at Hillary's sister's new home. Her sister and sister's fiancé have an adorable home in an adorable neighborhood right outside Boston. Their front door even has an Irish claddagh as the knocker.

The last night in Massachusetts, we spent in downtown Boston in Quincy Market which was all lit up with tons of lights. Hillary introduced me to Mike's Pastry in the North End... OMG, DELICIOUS! Needless to say, I ordered a slice of cheesecake and a cannoli, yum! I also tried fresh New England clam chowder, the best I've ever had.

A few other events not photographed were Black Friday shopping at the Wrenthem Outlets (they have Tory Burch!), the twelve hour drive... in a Camry... with four girls and their luggage, drinking pumpkin beer with cinnamon sugar on the rim of the glass, playing catch phrase with their friends, and driving through Beacon Hill in Boston. This trip to Boston will not be my last. It was so gorgeous and exciting. I can not wait to be in Massachusetts again soon!

Hindson-Atkinson Wedding

This past weekend I was so honored to be the lead planner for Amber and David's reception while my bosses, of Coordinated Weddings, were both out of town. Below are a few images I snapped before the night began at the venue (Grandover Resort). The reception's color scheme was champagne, nudes, and black, with subtle touches of shine.

Besides being the lead planner, this was my FIRST time completely on my own with an assistant, carrying out a wedding reception! (Pat on the back!)

Many more to come xx

A little bit of sparkle & spikes

Stacking

Recently, I've been trying to add to my bracelet collection to enhance my stacking! I was told about this amazing website Brandy Melville. Their jewelry is adorable and the pricing is great! I just made a purchase of a gold cross ring, black antique style ring, and a gold spiked bracelet. The rings are great because one is the thin, dainty look while the black stone ring is a statement ring. Spiked bracelets are very popular right now. I think the mix of the edgy spikes with other diamond and gold accessories are a neat mixture to have with stacking.

Fall is here

Love this look for being in a rush but still having all the outfit elements present. Brown boots with black leggings is fantastic and then the longer tee with jacket and scarf pull everything together. The cut messy, bun is adorable.

Such a comfortable outfit that still allows you to look dressed up enough.

In love with vest this season!

Lilac is such a wonderful color for the fall because it's a pastel and simply sweet on everyone.

A Taste of England

The view from our hotel in Bath, England

The Roman Baths

 Conor and I being tourists

Our night out with friends in Altrinchum, England at High Society

While shopping in Manchester, we came across the FA Cup.

Goofing off at Urban Outfitters.

Last dinner together in Manchester at Jamie's Italian.

Such a great trip!!

Above are a few pictures from my five day trip to England to visit my boyfriend. It was my first time in Europe and I can't wait until I go again. He didn't tell me what our plans were until the day I got there so I would be surprised! I arrived in the morning on Thursday and that evening we got on a train and went to Bath, England to explore together. We toured the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, the Fashion Museum (his idea!), local shops, and he was able to show me where he played in a lacrosse tournament. Saturday, I finally got to see Conor play in a game since he had graduated and then we had a couple beers at the club's bar, which is very popular to have at sports clubs. Later that evening we got dressed up and went out on the town! Pre-gamed at a place called The Spoon, where we played drinking games and even got in trouble for singing! Then bounced over to High Society bar, where we sang a little Backstreet Boys and drank "Zombies". Sunday morning we nursed our hangovers and did a little baking (an activity we really enjoy doing together). On Monday, Conor and I made our way into Manchester's city center on the tram. We had lunch at a sushi place inside Arndale Mall and then did some damage at the stores before a lovely dinner at Jamie's Italian! Leaving on Tuesday morning was not fun... Now I'm just looking forward to the spring when we will be able to see each other again!
