Jennifer & Jon McGraw

A beautiful, first wedding for interning! Jennifer and Jon McGraw had their ceremony and reception at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, NC. The color scheme was fuchsia, orange and ivory.

My day started with gathering all the necessities to complete the decorations in the ballroom. Formal place settings, framed place tags, color-coated flags, and gorgeous center pieces accented the tables. A fun photo booth, colored spot lights, photo montage, and sparklers added the extra details to pull everything together for the couples special day.

Wedding Tips #1

Today was my first post on my internships Facebook page. They are allowing me to research and create tips about venues, make up, honeymoon, budgets, and anything else that will help the couples create ideas for their special day. Check out their page here: Coordinated Wedding and Events.

Place Holders

Part of my internship is doing small projects leading up to the couples BIG day! With this project, I was asked to create 106 skewers with color coordinated ribbon flags to indicate which entree each quest was having.

My battle station! Skewers, cut ribbon, scissors, craft glue, and, of course, a iced vanilla latte!

My personal assistant.... Conor!

All done! The final skewers with cut edges and dried glue.
Hope everyone has a great and safe Memorial Day wedding!

Congrats to all the couples tying the knot!

Baked panzanella caprese

One thing that my boyfriend and I both enjoy doing together is cooking/baking in the kitchen. This past Thursday night we tried our hands at a delicious recipe I saw while watching the Food Network channel. Layered and baked, this recipe is extremely easy and very yummy. Here is the link if you'd like to try it for yourself.

Even after being refrigerated and re-heated, the bread stayed crispy!

Enjoy!
